Many use a Lube gun hose...flexable and has the right female 1/8" NPT fittings to mount the senders on the Bodies RAIL..

I put my PS64 low oil pressure switch on a 1 inch pipe fitting and a 45 degree fitting. This lifted it up and tilted the connector away from the alternator fan. My pressure sender is mounted to Clark's Adapt-A-Bolt holding the oil filter.

I don't have a photo of it, but can get one next week.

I found a photo of the PS64 Low Oil Pressure Switch installation on my laptop. Forgot I taken this one.

I have relocated it so the connector is aft of the filler.

I have to laugh at the people that put something directly behind the engine and through the belt. Anything through the belt needs to be removed first before you can put a belt on! I can't tell you how many things like that I have corrected.

I use a 45 degree fitting and then a 90 degree AN hose fitting to run the oil pressure off to the right side. Do not use the 1/8" copper line as that is to small and has a very slow reaction time. I use a minimum of a 1/4" line and the flexible grease gun line works OK but limited in it's length.

I don't need to remove anything on my engine to remove the belt. Wiring still follows GM wire harness routing.

Now on my test stand, totally different story as it is a limited installation. Harness is attached to stand rear mount uprights and harness is broken out to go to components on back of the engine with shortest routing length possible.

My mom had a Buick that I had to hang the engine and remove a motor mount to change the belt.

Had a bad experience many years ago. I installed an electric pressure gage with the sending unit atop a long brass nipple with a tee under it for the idiot lite the extra length and weight combined with engine vibration cracked the brass nipple at the base spewing oil everywhere. Since then I simply run 1/8 nylon line to the rear crossmember and mount the two senders there.
