SOLD!! : 1963(64) Corvcair monza convertible $1200

clean title as a 1963 but is a 64 underneath. I bought a 64 coupe but the body was no good after i drove it home(rusty floors etc) so i took ALL the parts from that and put it on this 63 convertible body.

ALL parts were cleaned and painted prior to being installed on the 63 using ALL new bolts, washers, mounts, brake lines, wheel cylinders, gas tank, suspension, shocks, carpet, rear wiring harness, rebuilt steering box, window fuzzies, new exhaust system (logs, manifold & muffler), new ties rods, seals, clutch cable, heater tubes etc (have receipts from Clarks).

Car is rust free, only small hole in trunk floor,(about the size of a dime) it is not bad but i have a replacement trunk pan that could be used(will be included in the sale). a few minor dings/scratches on the body but was painted prior to me purchasing it.

The main thing left to do is the trunk, it needs to be repaired (as above if required) and painted (i have all the splatter paint and the mat) and the brakes.

Engine ran last September prior to me moving, currently needs a backup switch installed prior to attempt to start again. Engine is an 'RD' and came from 64 (engine/transaxle was not separated prior to being installed in 63)

I have WA 63 plates that go with the car, the original key and several boxes of spares including a spare radio, side glass, spare gaskets, carb kits and a box of carbs, an alternator and correct bracket, gas lines, belts, oil filters, floor pans, 64 side trim, new side mirrors

I also have the EM shop manuals

Car will need to be towed as it is still a project.
located in Westport WA.

$1200 ono

Yes!
WoW!
I know that pictures can sometimes be deceiving, . . . .
BUT, are you sure you don't want to change your price real quick.
That seems a bit low to me.
Have you looked at what others are selling for right now?

Just because they are asking that much doesn't mean they are selling. There are a bunch of Corvairs on the Dallas CL right now that people are asking 5-10 times the value for. No one is buying them.

This is quite true.
I fully agree with you.
But, $1200 for his still seems low.
It appears to be in pretty decent shape.
Even if you discount the pictures by 20% because they just don't always tell the whole story.

Car is sold,

a lot of those cars on CL have been there for more than 1 year.

My car was in quite good condition given the age and had majority new parts, I sold it for that price as at the end of the day it is a project car, and regardless of how much money is put into it, you never get that back. I wanted the car spot in my garage for another car and would rather have the space.

Come on, we all seen the pictures of your garage. More space for another car? Must be real small. Or did all the boxes go with the sale? Just poked fun at ya. I noticed to day I have boxes on top of my corvair.
