() Date: August 28, 2018 04:14PM needpart As stated, I am looking for a Nice, or NOS FC Side Door Handle Escutcheon (Base). Looking at a thread from April 17, 2018 titled "Greenbrier Door Handle Removal" Posted by: persh, [corvaircenter.com] I found the attached illustration that shows the part I am in search of. It is item number 3. It might be Part # 3776251 but I am not positive. (Group 16.350) Worst case scenario, I will get the one on the van re-chromed or might even opt to paint it but would rather find another one in better shape. Thanks 1962 95 F.C. Sorry to say but you have violated both of the rules of "needpart" by being so clear in what part you need. The Rules of "needpart" are; 1) Be vague in the description of what you are looking for so the Forum has a chance to help you figure out what part you need. This back and forth should take a few days. 2) Wait until After you get the part identified by the Forum, after which, wait until a weekend has passed to give time for the Forum members who may Have the part, to look for it and get back onto a computer. The Reason behind Rule #1 is so enough time passes so that a weekend Does go by. Thank you for your participation in "needpart" ![]() Mark Holmlund ![]() Re: Looking for nice or NOS FC Side Door Handle Escutcheon (Base) Posted by:

() Date: August 30, 2018 03:16PM Just the kind of assistance I was looking for from a trusted source. ![]() Actually I don't NEED A Part, I would simplylike to have a better example of what I already have. If you had provided me all the NOS replacement parts I could dsire when I bought the Van from you, I wouldn't be looking now......would I? 1962 95 F.C. () Date: November 03, 2018 12:51PM The above Escutcheon will go nicely with the NOS Side Door Handle I bought a while back. In the mean time I was able to acquire an NOS Boomerang which arrived this week. I'm not done with the '65 yet and here I am stock piling parts for the Van already. 1962 95 F.C. () Date: February 28, 2019 04:36PM Bump, Remember way back in August of 2018 when I posted I was looking for an Escutcheon trim for my Van side door handle? Eventually in November 2018, I was fortunate enough to actually find a NOS piece with the box. I never figured I would ever see another one until this afternoon. Yes, I bought it even though I don't need it. 1962 95 F.C. Van 1964 Greenbrier Deluxe 1965 Monza Coupe 1965 Monza Convertible Westminster, Maryland MID ENG enthusiast & prior Kelmark owner. With that said, I expect I'll be taking it out of the box when it arrives to inspect it. Maybe I should wear gloves? ![]() 1962 95 F.C. () Date: December 04, 2022 10:29AM Well folks, I bought a third one of these today if anyone has a need for one, let me know. The first one I saw, I paid dearly for because I never expected to see another NOS one. The second one I saw, I got for a better price and bought it Just because it was available. During the time I purchased the first two, I managed to source one NOS handle that was advertised as a non GM piece. The second one was an excellent used piece. Since I currently have two FC Vans and NOS handles for the front and rear doors, I now have more than enough. The third Escutcheon trim I purchased was at a much better price than I ever expected to get on such an NOS part even if it does not have the box. 1962 95 F.C. () Date: December 04, 2022 01:07PM Caraholic4life, since you seem to be on a roll at finding these, see if you can find me the same escutcheon for the DRIVERS side on an 8 door van and I'll buy it from you! I've searched for a NOS one off-and-on for many years with no luck. Dan Brizendine, Circle City Corvairs '64 8 door Greenbrier, +.060, stroked 1/4", 188 ci, 140 PG.
