() Date: April 10, 2021 05:35PM Used a heavy duty hammer drill to make holes in the concrete shop floor, then installed ConFast 3/4" drop-in anchors. These anchors will be used to fasten the mounting plate for the portable winch that can be used to winch in inoperable vehicles from outside. This will also allow me to retrieve the rotisserie after rolling it out into the yard for undercarriage blasting. Installed 2 anchors each inside the far and middle bays such that one anchor is about 18 inches from the front doors and the other anchor is about halfway inside the middle bay and about 2/3 the way inside the far bay. Then cut the ends off four 3/4" bolts to make inserts that will protect the anchor threads and prevent debris from falling inside. Finished up with black silicone filling the holes around the anchors. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dean F. () Date: April 11, 2021 06:36AM By the way, someone suggested using anti-seize on the filler bolts because those anchors will eventually get wet, etc. If you look carefully at the previous photo showing the anchor, set tool and filler bolt, you can barely see the anti-seize on the bottom of the filler bolt. So, I took another photo of the four filler bolts this morning: ![]() Dean F. () Date: April 11, 2021 05:42PM Replaced the '65 upper steering column support with the '68 section purchased from Corvair Ranch. Drilled out the spot welds from the underside, cut out the '65 section then welded in the '68 section. Although it's not pretty, the welds penetrated and it is solid. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dean F.
