EM 14" classic style steel rims?
Date: August 09, 2018 12:40PM

Does anyone have any idea of a classic style steel rim in 14" for an EM? I have a set of 14" steels from a Nissan that fit but I cant run a classic hubcap with them.

What I'm trying to do - run 14" steel rims with 66 impala ss tribar hubcaps.

I have a friend who has a habit of cutting up steel rims to fit different applications and I'm getting an idea to mash up a 14" with the corvair hub.

Well, they’re ordered. I'll re-post when I see how they fit. BTW, Summit really has their shit together. I ordered these last night at like 11pm and they’re already on the road with delivery for Tomorrow (Saturday). Ohio to NJ.

The current wheels and tires are too small, but I've been using them out of protest with my fake flappers.

Well, with the 13" wheels I had I had no interference, but with these I get some rubbing. Maybe I'll have to roll the fenders. I know it's not for everyone, but I like it lowered. Anyway here it is, hubcaps and all. O ly issue I had was the front drum rivits. I ended up having to grind the edges of them for the wheels to sit flush. No big deal.

Thanks Matt. I know, I didn't take into account how much the original springs were sagging when I removed some coil. I'll probably buy new Clark's springs and just take out one ring. Ultimately I'd love to have it on air but I don't have the time or money currently to engineer such a setup.
