OT, Rotating a Rochester 1 Barrel.

A friend owns a 68 Chevy with inline 6 and 1 Barrel carb, he has a new carb he wants to install but it mounts 90 degrees out from his original. I thought there would be mounting adapters made to do that but couldn't find any, second thought was to buy 2 flanges and weld them to a tube making what he needs but I didn't see a source for those either, I guess he could build his own flanges from flat bar or plate then get them welded.
Any suggestions?

That sounds like the way to do it.
I would look into who in your area does Plasma Cutting.
Give then a template of what you want the flange to look like, and it will end up looking like it was O.E.M.
