I have searched this topic and I can't find a wiring diagram on how to do wiring my custom courtesy lights under the dash in my ’67 coupe. My shop manual doesn't mention it. Attached to the door switch? Thanks for your help in advance!

Parallel the dome lamp. Dome lamp wires run up the left A pillar, usually seen under the dash at this point. Orange and white. Orange is fused and hot all the time, white is grounded through the door switches and the headlamp switch (rotate knob CCW).

Even on 500s (Biscaynes, Delrays, etc.) with no door switches, the dome light is turned on by rotating the headlamp switch CCW.

If I recall correctly the courtesy lamps were an option on the sedans and of course standard on the convertible. Even more confusing the two used different wiring!!

I believe the factory assembly manual shows the wiring.

If you use low powered LED's for the courtesy lamps and dome lamp you can do a simple wiring hook up, otherwise you have use a fuse box power tap to run the incandescent under dash lamps - or risk a problem

I've got to run now, but feel free to PM me and I can look through my diagrams.
