Posi Plates, New Production Run

I am real close to having a quote for posi clutch packs. I DO NOT have pricing yet and I am hoping that it is not beyond feasibility, as we talked in round numbers it was interesting. Also these will be made in the USA! I should have the numbers in by this weekend and when I get get the numbers I will post pricing probably in a new for sale post.

I am getting a quote for 500 and 1000 sets so I may have to pre-sell a few sets if this happens. These will be exactly the same as the GM and other aftermarket units that have been around for years. I don't know the time frame from the order date but I think it will be less than a month!

Here's hoping all works out!

Ken - Good work on your part. If I may advise - go for the 500 quote. I would doubt you could sell even that many.

Chances are that the 'East Coast' vendor will buy a substantial number of them. Also those other brand applications would likely buy a few as well if the word gets out to them.

Sometimes the larger quantity is so much cheaper you have to do it. A friend got a quote today on two way radio pcbs with the components on the boards. 10 were $26 each. 1000 were 50 cents each. I do agree that it would probably take a while to sell 1000 but if that made them cheap enough some of us would stock up with more than we would ever use.

Before pulling the trigger on the order, check with the "East Coast" vendor and the others to see if they would be interested in purchasing some.

As for me, I'd be interested in a set in the $250 range.

As for as "pulling the trigger", where were you when the last 2 sets sold for $250 and $200 respectively? grinning smiley

I probably should pull out my last 2 new sets and sell them to finance the venture! LOL

I have the numbers from the quote but I am waiting on some corroboration and I will probably have answers after the convention.

My ignorance is showing...but, are these replacements for a posi differential or will they make any differential positraction?

You need to have all the rest of the parts that go along with making a complete posi differential. The posi plates are the equivalent of having just a clutch disc, that doesn't make your car a manual trans car.

Hope that helps.
