Dash Clip Removal/Install

I am trying to attach the dash back onto my EM above the instrument cluster and there must have been clips to screw into, but no longer. How do I drop the cluster to install those clips? The holes are much too big for a sheet metal screw.

To really get access you will need to disconnect the steering column from the bottom of the dash (4 bolts) so you can push it down and gain some clearance. Remove headlamp, and wiper switches, speedo cable and wiring as needed. And yes there are unutish clips for the bezel screws to go into when mounting the cluster.

Okay, I lowered the steering column, but how do you get the headlight switch off? I read that there is a button, but I couldnt find it. Also, its a PG, so do I need to do anything with the shifter?

The button is on the top back side of switch takes some twisting your hand up and over, button is tiny with a spring, while u hold the button down and push and pull the knob out it will hit a spot then release. The outside bezel takes a special tool to unscrew, can try a good pair of pliers just use a heavy shop towel to protect the finish

Thank you for the info. Does the PG shifter have to be removed?

It can remain attached to the instrument cluster.

First of all, dont forget to disconnect the battery. You will have a lot of loose connectors dangling close to ground and not with a very good isolation.
