A 140 hp with any factory cam will idle smoothly at 600 rpm..

I read many saying that their 140 has a "lope" and is definitely
different than their 110's, etc..

I attribute that to the dual exhaust / no crossover tube..

They are listening to TWO THREE cylinder engines!

I don't have a crossover either, the car had and still does have Clarks C-5038 exhaust on it.Carbs may need tweeking some more.

Or one or both of your secondarys is not fully closing...can cause rough idle and is common on 140 engines. Caused by gummy secondarys, badly adjusted secondarys or throttle linkage issues. Another thing to check is that the secondary carbs have the correct throttle plates in them. Secondary plates have no little notch in them.

Might want to redo the carb synchronization process again - instructions in FAQs.
