In 1971 I was earning $1.10 per hour as a Texaco pump jockey; paying State Farm $812.00 per year for liability only insurance on my '67 MoreDoor Monza.

I doubled my hourly wage by getting an inside, air conditioned job as a stock boy at TG&Y.

I thought I was suddenly rich.
