SOLD!! : full setup 1969 140 carbs/ linkage
Posted by: texas yenko dude ()
Date: June 08, 2018 08:39AM

A full set of 140 carbs and linkage from a 2 owner 70k mile 69. Un-molested, all tags present (why one of the secondarys has 2 tags is beyond me-but they are the same), all lockout parts present, all correct linkage, even the chokes are not broken. They are dusty from sitting on my top shelf for years.

$200 plus the ride

Chris - What are the "tubes" on the secondary push-pull rods. Shouldn't it have springs there? Or is the "tube" covering the springs up. Just wondering.

There are springs under the tubing. I figured it was a 69 thing. This set came from an early production 69 that was a 2 owner car that was in-molested. The tubes have a nice nice crimp on the end too

I’m going to box them up Sunday or Monday night to ship. I’ll take some close ups and post

Yup,...the 68 140's had those to Seth.

One thing I noticed tho Chris,...the right side feed line to the passenger side carbs from the fuel pump area appears to be 65 140 style. Smog pump interference changed the fuel line routing from the fuel pump area to the carbs inner side on the right side.

Yes on the fuel lines, the right side would be '65 style. The smog pump sits about 1/4" to 3/8" back from the right secondary so the fuel lines went between the carbs and the fan and circled around the front to the outside. I think this was also needed to clear the A/C compressor and bracket.
