Installed one today. Still have to install retainer strips. A real PITA. I would love to see a video of ori. install at factory.

Yeah Jerry, when I installed mine a couple of years ago I made inquiries all over. When I talked to Jeff Stonesifer at the Corvair Ranch he said that he has had to use a porta power to slightly tweak the opening to install the window. I am glad that I didn't have to go that route. Congratulations on your success. Nice Greenbrier, btwthumbs up

When I was restoring my Greenbrier I knew the quarter glass could be a real pain to deal with and since the glass and rubber were in great shape, I decided I'd save myself a lot of work and leave them alone. I frequently read in car magazines that you have to remove the glass and rubber when your repainting a car - "to do it right". No you don't! With thorough cleaning and accurate masking the paint right up to the rubber is perfect to this day - 31 years later.

I didn't have this option as the windows were out when I got it. I also have painted with the glass in with good results.

I had to replace both my seals and one glass pane due to a crack. Took me and another buddy using suction cup handles and some crafty swear words about 2 hours a side. Worst thing I've had to do on my Greenbrier. The beers were sweet after that project was done

I did the pass. side yesterday and will try to install windshield today. I think I would scare off my grandson if I told him we were going to do the drivers side next.

The windshield was waaaaayyyyy easier. There's a video by Corventure Dave and Dave Motohead that gives great instructions. Glycerin and a pair of suction cup handles are your best tools.

Hit a snag with the windshield. Top and bottom seated fine. Both ends won't cooperate. It has been out for about 7 years so it may have relaxed a bit. If the sun comes out tomorrow I will put some pressure on the ends with a ratchet strap and let it sit. Anyone had this problem? Any ideas? Thanks

Corventure Dave's trick of slapping the glass with the palm of your hand worked for me to settle the glass and seal into the frame
