There may be some hope for the next generation

Went with several other MCCA members to the Car Show put on by the Students of the Restoration program at McPherson College. There were 401 cars in the show and 9 of them were Corvairs. The good news is that 4 of them belonged to students. One of the students had a LM with an aluminum 215 Olds in back.

Even got a photo of Lee Olsen taking a photo of Dennis Gage in Lee's Corsa Convertible.

Drove my 69 to the club breakfast and tech session Saturday. Get the waves from the usual suspects but the one that tickled me the most was about a 9 year old boy in the back of Mom's minivan giving a thumbs up.

Heading home tonight, was quickly being overtaken by a souped-up Subaru WRX.
It disappeared from my mirrors but did not go flying by me. I looked out my drivers window, he had slowed down and matched my speed.
The young man was grinning ear to ear, while enthusiastically waving a thumbs-up.
I grinned, nodded, gave him a Thank-you.
Then proceeded to watch his tail-lights disappear into the Sunset like he had a fire to go put out.
GONE!
Yeah, those things ARE fast, but there is just something to be said about CLASS.
And that is one thing that Corvairs HAVE!
