Not often I see a post about a car I know well. That Corv-8 was built by a good friend of mine, Glen Durst in Tampa, in 1972-73. Glen was as good a mechanic and as fine a man as I have ever known. The car was sold to one of Glen's old hot rodding pals in about 1998. From what little I could tell from the photos, the car got little use over the years and all that changed was adding a/c and new wheels and tires. I guess it could have been worn out and redone, but hope not. That car was on the cover of the March 87 Communique, along with Glen's 65 Monza. The Monza in now in the Don Garlits Museum in Ocala, FL. I'm going out to buy a couple lottery tickets in case the Crown car shows up in another auction.
