Rear drum brake hose thread size- hose hitting airbag

So here is the issue I’m trying to solve
1964 corvair that I have spent the last couple months putting- don’t laugh- air bags on it – (took awhile with a new baby)- suddenly putting air ride on the corvair becomes last priority – well – got them all on – and reinstalling rear brake hoses to back of break drum. Rear- Passenger side when on fine, because the hose juts out at and angle away from air bag and toward the back of car. However, driver side brake hose juts out directly into air bag (rather than the port being a mirror image of the passenger, it’s the same as passenger – juts to the left when looking at the drum- and towards front of car on driver side) When air bag is deflated, hose jams right in to it- so I was thinking, I need a 90 elbow

Ordered this, but it is backordered, so I thought I would ask the question while I wait
[www.grainger.com]
is the thread size of the rear drum break hose inlet port 7/16”-20 ??
also, is there a better way to relocate?- possibly something I’m missing

Thanks

Where do you live? Find a hydraulic hose shop. They can make any configuration hose you want/need .

springfield mo-
not a bad idea- however- but a 90 might just do the trick- if i knew the thread size-- i guess i could take the hose to a hydraulic shop

That stuff is generally standard bolt thread. Racing catalogs generally have a selection. I'd try Earl's first probably. I'd probably want steel, maybe brass, but not aluminum which may not hold up over time. You can find something I'm sure. Maybe a banjo type fitting will fit.

If you live in Springfield have you met Jeff Moore at Automotive Archeologists? He's a great guy, one of the best. Racing and regular Corvair interests.
