Snow Performance Meth/Water - Which nozzle?
Posted by: goatsnvairs ()

I'm putting a snow performance meth injection system on my 180 Corsa. Was wondering if anyone else is using this system, what size nozzle(s) do you use? I tapped each head, and mounted a nozzle holder where the intake meets the head on each side. Based on the charts I have I was thinking a number 2 on each side....

Will start with using the factory YH, but also have a 32/36 DGV I'd like to play with later...

Best to ask snow performance which nozzle to use based on the engine size and hp level. What I did to get the appropriate size nozzle when I did mine but I'm using a single nozzle from a different manufacturer so I couldn't tell you what size should work.

I run a single nozzle (175 ml if memory is correct) mounted in the turbo discharge. I started with smallest nozzle and it made no difference. Next size was the same way. Third try gave me what I was looking for and didn't have to run the pump wide open.

175 is a number 3, so that seems right around what I'll be doing (#2x100=200). At any rate, sounds like a good place to start! Thanks.

@goatsnvairs,

DevilsOwn Methanol/Water system with dual nozzles mounted at the same location you are using. Pump pressure 200-250psi. Boost sensor switch set to 6psi turn on (12psi is my wastegate setting). Stromberg 2-bbl that flows like the Weber 32/36 DGV or slightly better. Nozzle size per DevilsOwn calculator for my application was 2.9 @ 12psi max

I tried #2 nozzles (flow rate 126ml ea) and it bucked like a mule when it kicked on. Swapped for #1 nozzles (63ml each) and it pushes real nice using the premixed Boost Juice. SafeGuard doesn't need to retard even in the FL heat. Get the solenoid to prevent backwash in the nozzles/tubing. **thinking of adding a third nozzle at turbo outlet and getting a 2-stage controller.

Added a blue colored light where lighter used to be for drive feedback when injection is active. Watching that light is mesmerizing.

All good info! The Snow #2's are 100ml, so if too much I'll drop down to #1. I have Stromberg adapter, but the WW's are not progressive are they? That's why I procured a 32/26. I did also put the solenoid in.
Yes, the SP dash controller tells boost, when its on, and has a low fluid level indicator light too.

No, the Stromberg WW is not progressive, but it flows lots better than the YH with two 30mm venturi. Just took off the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and went straight pipe for even less restrictive exhaust. thumbs up

I picked mine based on air fuel ratio. The smaller ones did not make any difference. The larger one did the trick and dropped my air fuel ratio to 10.8:1. I gradually started adding timing back in as well. I also run straight methanol; no denatured or water
