My Corvair Parts Have a New Address cool smiley
Posted by: Phil Dally ()

Bought my own twenty foot container just for Corvair parts.

The forty footer next to my twenty is full of wife stuff. eye rolling smiley

Wasn't that hard at all to level and make square to the world.

But now I see the forty leaning left and I'll obsess on that.

Tomorrow at first light the hanger (bi-fold door) gets emptied.

Then SuperVair will have a proper parking space all to itself.

Like most of us I have enough parts to build an air cooled spaceship.

Very Nice Phil. Time to make some shelves to get the bins off the floor.

I had to get a 40 ft 9.5 high container for all my parts and items needing secure dry storage. My 12 ft enclosed trailer is unusable since it is storing Christmas bins and other items. Most will get moved into the container.

My 26' is 1/2 Jensen and 1/2 Corvair parts. Should of got a 40'.....

Got mine level but after a couple years one side is sinking into the drive way. Where we live you wouldn't think you would need it but get a couple tubs of Damprid. Stuff will rust faster than you think in the container.

I was thinking.... paint them to look like school bus's! tongue sticking out smiley

Nice to have room for those. They are great storage containers. We have a couple here at work. Some kind of ventilation helps reduce rust. Even in our dry climate once moisture gets in, it doesn't like to evacuate!

How about painting a Ultravair on the side 😆

I was thinking about cutting holes in the top and putting whirly gigs on it for vents. Just hate to cut into something that doesn't leak yet.

Hope to see you in March!

Ended up putting a asphalt roof on my wife's forty.

Came from the Morro Bay PG&E yard...it's aluminum.

Outfitted with shelves, racks, lights, and wall sockets.

We put a whirly gig in it then and it make a big difference.

Already making a big dent in the space occupied by Corvair parts.

A tad cold here...temperature in the container yesterday morning was 15!!!

If you want another one Bob I've got a guy in Atascadero...old school fair prices.

Looking really good Phil! I bought shelves from Costco but it really doesn't make good use of space. Your setup looks much better. Come on over when your done grinning smiley

I would love to put a 20' con ex behind my barn. I have the room, and nobody would see it except the neighbors directly across the street. But it would only be a matter of time before the whole neighborhood would show up with torches and pitchforks!I guess they figure that if they can't have it, I can't either.

Dirty COMMIES ! ! !
Why do people feel that they have a right to tell others what they can or can not do on their own property?
And here we supposedly live in the "Land of Freedom."
Yeah right!eye rolling smiley
