Club Banner Size?
Posted by: Tom Rahochik ()

Our Mid-Maryland club has now discussed the purchase of a custom made Corvair
banner to bring to the convention. What are the average banner measurements?
Any banner specifications required by Corsa? And, is any one cloth material better than
another? All comments are welcome......

I've seen all shapes and sizes, most I don't think are more than 6 feet wide. Something I like are the newer style vertical banners that fly like a flag and can be displayed with a single pole, work well for making your club stand out at car shows.

Don posted a comment about a banner that flies like a flag, those are normally referred to as "feather" banners, approx.m 8' and 2' wide.

These feather banners were mentioned at the 2017 CORSA Convention in Independence, MO at the Award Banquet. I believe the cost thru CORSA was around $200 to the chapters, at that time. Check with CORSA or your local vinyl sign/banner company.

I didn't understand Phil Daly's question when he p.m. to me, because I'm seeing this on my phone. As I recall this Banner is about 8 feet long and I think two feet high.

It has flag pockets on either side grommets every couple feet and has wind slits cut into it also.

I still have some if anybody wants one.

If I'm not mistaken, the Tidewater Banner is 5' wide, 3' high. Designed to accept a pole through the pocket on the top length....with gold fringe on the sides and bottom.

Just an FYI, most banners are made from various vinyls, some with reinforcing "thread" Not too many cloth banners anymore!
