Looks good but I bet that little bit of emblem took at least 40 bear cans!

Richard1 shows all of us the need for being resourceful instead of just buying the parts we need he makes them. Great work Richard

Thanks. Yes sometimes you have to be resourceful around here. I had a door handle on order for 6 months, calling and writing 3 or 4 times a week, and finally gave up and made my own, also out of beer cans.

But also, my first reaction when trying to put together my door locks (that I had had re-sleeved at a local machine shop, and one door would not unlock, I found that what makes it work is a little pin on the end of a bolt. First reaction was "where will I find this". A few minutes later, I realized that it was easier to make out of a longer bolt than to look for or order. I did not work about making it to shiny, as it is internal, And the bolt I had on hand is chromed instead of zinc, but it works.

You are the MAN! I am always amazed (and inspired) by your work, Richard. Makes me think that I should start using my beer cans for more than just expanding my gut!

What is not stated is that he apparently melted down the aluminum beer cans and poured it into a mold.
I wonder how the mold was made?

The Renault emblem was done in resin.
The Dauphine was taken to a foundry and done there with a mold made by them.
Probably sand or clay cast?
