Hello everybody
I'm from switzerland and am currently renovating a 1964 corvair monza. Now, before closing, I'm facing an embarrassing problem.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where these screws belong. There are a total of 4 pieces.Does anyone of you have an idea?

Thanks and greetings Mario

It does appear in your photo that the engine top cover has several temporary black bolts to hold it in place while awaiting the proper bolts. The other guess would be the attachment bilts for the front anti sway bar.

Could it be bolts for the seatbelts ? If so it is a UNF thread which is a bit hard to tell in the pictures. Those bolts use to have a very thin head like the ones in the pictures and also the number of bolts is correct for two lap belts.

Those look like they might be 3/8-16 bolts that hold the bell housing to the block, amount other uses.
Since 10 mm is a little over .375"
And they are coarse thread.
The other possibility is mount bracket to trans to diff bolts.
If bigger than 3/8 , they might the 7/16 -14 trans to diff bolts.
They look about the correct length to me.

The large photos are a bit deceiving...

1 mm is approx 3/16 inch.

3.5 mm is approx 1 3/16 inch

The weathered head indicates they likely are exposed to the outside rain, salt, etc.

Mario,

In the SAE system... you measure the diameter in the smooth area..

The length is from under the head to the end of threads..

If those are in fact SAE type bolts, they would appear to be 7/16"-20TPI thread, and 1-3/16" (I read the scale at 30mm) in length.
Could be the pictures, but the bolt head seems undersized somehow. No immediate Corvair engine use comes to mind, even if they were 3/8" fine thread.
10mm is .3937" and 7/16 is .4375 , the bolts may well be metric. Sorry if this doesn't really help.

I think I know where they may go. Check to see if the front (or even possibly the rear) upper A-arm bushing retainers are in place. I believe this is where they go.
There should be four in the back A-arms and four in the front upper A-arms.
Good luck!

The A-arm bolts are used with larger washers that mostly cover the arm bushings.
