Unique to 1965 Greenbrier ignition switch?

Here is another new old stock part that I found in my basement parts stash; an ignition switch that lists only the 1965 R10 Corvair as compatible. Other vehicles include 1958-62 Corvette, 1957 Chevrolet and some 1963 to '66 GM trucks. So what do you think the asking price will be? A re-pop can be had for around $50. Some eBay sellers think since it fits a C1 Corvette it should go for $200. Wow! Back in 1983 this was bought at Wheaton Auto Parts (Illinois) for just over $11! Can you say inflation???

Sell it to a Corvette owner for $200 plus!smileys with beer

Post a picture? Is it different in appearance from the '61-'64?

R10 is the designation for the Forward Control Corvairs = Corvair 95 Van, Rampside and Greenbrier

It is like the 60 to 64 ignition switch EXCEPT there are no lips to grab and turn the switch without a key. It is flat faced. Maybe slightly crowned but not convex like 65 to 69.

The "finger tabs" are part of the lock cylinder - not the switch.

This sounds like an aftermarket switch unit make by Neihoff or Standard or similar

Let's see a photo, please.

Some eBay sellers put ridiculous prices on items, hoping to catch the one person that doesn't know its true value. Since eBay stopped charging for the listings, I have seen some parts being relisted for months at a time. Put a reasonable price on the item, and it will sell.
