Next is my 65 Buick Special, a Craigslist find sat 20 years in a garage. Got it running (80,000 mi) replaced the interior and buffed the 30 year old lacquer paint. GNX wheels and upgraded brakes. Will likely sell this in the spring, but no details as yet.

Last and likely the one of interest for this forum is the 63 Monza 900 conv. I call Frankenvair. 60 front emblem, 66 engine, 64 trans and diff. I have so far removed the drive train and replaced what gaskets and seals I could without doing a complete overhaul. Engine ran good when I got it, and looked good inside. Resealed the trans and diff and replaced the clutch and throw-out bearing. Mostly removed buckets of grime and installed the proper shrouds. I have a set of Clarks floorboards and will replace them as well as some other rusty areas. Most would call this a parts car, but as an auto body tech for so long I know I can bring it back.
Glad to finally be able to post pics. Thanks.

You do nice work. Your Corvair most of us would NOT consider a parts car. Looks pretty nice to me.

I guess a parts car in Florida is different than a parts car in Minnesota. Looks good and it sounds like you're taking good care of it.

My buddy here sold a EM convertible with bad floors. More than 10 years later it turned up abandoned in Florida. Someone never transfered the title and it tracked back to him, he didn't want it.

Now this is a parts car. Came with the deal, I didn't want it except parts I needed were locked in the trunk.
