Above the new gas tank
Posted by: gostridr ()

Hi All,

finally got the old leaky tank out. Gonna be fun trying to get it back in. Until then, I don't like the look of those screws sticking out of the foot well wall. Are they stock? Am I being paranoid or should I cover them or other?

Also, the hole where the brake lines leave the foot well and travel under the car had duct tape on it. Was there a grommet originally? Is duct tape reasonable to replace or is there a more effective option?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I've seen a few gas tanks with screws in them from someone sometime. You loosen the strap and it should come out but...

Stock /factory screws are above the tank, no issue

Anything added on by a PO, that's another story.

There is a grommet for the hole for the brake lines.
