Value of a good used turbo crankshaft
Posted by: Caveman_1960 ()

I need some idea of what the crankshaft out of my RL code 180 turbo engine is worth. I am building a display turbo engine for the local Corvair Museum and plan to use just a stub 'shaft to hold the harmonic balancer in place. This original crank looks fine - no visible scoring. It is definitely a turbo crank with the "&" stamped in the snout. Whaddiya think it is worth/?? - Caveman Pete

Clark's gets $700+ for theirs nitride ones. Used ones about 50 to 80% depending on condition, I would think.

If the turbo crank is still good it would probably be better to use an early crank than a good more in demand long stroke. Maybe you could use the one that the mice used?

Hey Pete, It's worth me cutting up one of my junk cranks for the pieces you need. I can cut them on my band saw.

Hey Pete. I have a 102 crank no one want. You can cut it up if you want.
