The guy who builds those Corvair bodies is in Morro Bay and a member of Central Corvair.

His racecar is a Mopar bodied NHRA Heritage Seies Top Nitro funny car running in the fives.

just curious, why don't the funny cars go to a mid engine like the top fuel dragsters? Safer, better weight distribution. Is it a rule? Seems the NHRA would like to make it safer. Maybe a driver has to lose a foot before they will change?

And unlike 200 mph ProStocks.... are as fast as Dragsters..
