What dual exhaust mufflers are ya'll using on your convertibles?

Planning possible uses for this year's tax refund. One of the options is a slightly louder/deeper sounding dual exhaust system for Skyler, the LM drop top Airvair.

A system not as loud as the "trombone" dual exhaust system that was used in the 1960's, please. (What sounded "boss" at age 19 is just too dayumed loud at age 63.)

Is the above sound clip a bad example of this exhaust system? OR is this a correct, "Real World" sound?

One of my 140HP 66's one has a NOS dual stock setup, the other has the Clark's dual repro mufflers.

The Clark's with the bigger tailpipes recommended for the 140HP has a slightly more aggressive sound accelerating, but is quite at cruise.

When I was younger I used louder mufflers, but got tired of the drowning and moaning at cruise typical of louder mufflers - just me.

My 140 convertible has Clark's reproduction stock exhaust. It is quiet with no drone. I'd personally like it to be louder, but the car was restored to stock (other than the wheels and electric fuel pump) and I haven't had the heart to modify it. I love the large extractors Clarks sells, but they do drone right at 2500 rpm.

I had a set of turbo mufflers for a while sounds fine but too big, my car is low and autocrossing was hard on the mounts, yep finished out a day of autocross with a ratchet strap holding one of those mufflers, they also were easy to hit speed bumps, now my oil pan hits them. I drove the car with just the mufflers without tail pipes so the exhaust hit the back of the car before exiting, that was super loud with the resonance of the back of the car.

Drone is the biggest issue. I loved the extractors I had. Currently running Clarks stock welded on my 140, definately louder than the stock on my 110.
