Still in Northern Texas?

I would think about $100.... Plenty of Vairs in the area... so not hard to find..

If someone needs one it has to be worth 300+ (does it have a good unbroken back up light switch?). If someone wants it as a spare, 100.
The most I ever got was 600 for a good used 66 trans and diff. many years ago at the Pomona Corvette/Porsche? Antique car swap meet.

I don't think I've ever given more than $75 for a nice transaxle.

I'm going to look at that free unit in Oregon on Tuesday. Looks like a good spare. I have a 65 and a 66 so whichever it is, will be worth the short drive.

Thanks Mel for the lead! smiling smiley

And it comes with a heavy duty pressure plate. If it is a 64, then the transmission could fit your 65.

Will it fit as a unit into a 65? I'm going to pick it up tomorrow, unless it's junk.

From what I'm seeing I would say no. The diff has no mounting pads for the 65-69 lower strut rods. The axle yokes are not bolted

I sold 2 very good 65 4 spds for Just shy under $100 a piece as a package deal. Prices are going up as units are becoming less available.

More people keeping more spares for their own use. I have the transaxle in my 66 Monza, 2 rebuilt 66 transaxles, along with 2 as removed 66 transaxles stuffed in my storage container for just in case purposes. These as removed units have good BU switches on them, plus I have 2 NOS BU switches locked up in my garage. Not to mention the still good one on my Monza. I guess I am hoarding these switches but when they break, extras will be needed.

OK then. If the trans/diff will not fit my 65 it is of no use to me. Are the internals the same? Maybe worth taking those parts out as spares for my 65?sad smiley

Grab it and pass it onto some one with a 64 in your neighborhood.
