Can a LM left front spindle (speedometer cable side) be installed on a EM? thanks smiling smiley

Somewhere in my clouded memory I seem to remember the ball joints are different. But that's an easy change.

Yes , in principle. But :

IIRC, the bearings are different [ smaller ] sizes , so the later 5 bolt hubs must be used.

And swapping the rear axle is simple enough. By shortening the Fc axle 1"

Ball joints shaft sizes are the same from 60-69.
Its what Bob said. The bearings and hubs that are different.

The EM spindle can be modified by a competent machinist to accept a LM Speedo cable. The EM cap would need a insert to drive the cable.
I suspect the LM one might be modified for this application [insert, not the cap]
I modified a a GN1 Camaro one I installed on the LF of my V8 Crown car to accomplish the same thing.
With the disc brake conversion.

Is there an advantage from using the GN1 spindles? Do they lower the CG or Rc ?
