The newspaper carrying this op-ed piece will only allow comments through Facebook. I don't do Facebook.
But those who do are cordially invited to submit comments - especially as to the factual errors within it.
The political side of it is whatever folks wish to make of it.
And, after all, what's a Meta for?

No comment as I have never been to Lordsburg NM but I have been to Lodi California. I also don't believe everything I hear (especially from commission driven sales people). But I do know a car is not a lemon. A car is a car. I do believe there is such a thing as fake news though.

Below are a few of the comments from their FB page:

"My dad had a Corvair and he loved that car. Never had a minute’s trouble with it. Just sayin. I have no opinion as to comparison to the President. I just thought you should know. And btw Dad hated Ralph Nader forever 🙂"

"I had a classic Corvair Spyder. Gorgeous red color. I wish I had kept it! Ralph Nader is the one who gave the Corvair a bad name."

"My brother had Corvairs with no issues. Just saying."

...and one of the most popular comments thus far:

"The other car lot manager, Hillary Clinton, could not be bothered to show up for the end of year clearance sale. She assumed putting a low mileage / E-Z financing signs on the junkers windshield and then fleeing on yet another salesman convention to Vegas, business as 👺🤣🤣🤣🤣usual. No surprise the hotshot new guy on the lot stepped in and wiped the floor with her. The loyal customers of Democratic Motors are still harping and upset to this day, while Trump Consolidated industries continue to ride unprecedented sales and groundswell of support from a very loyal and ever-expanding customer fan base."

I have the privilege of seeing lots of people who are talented enough to destroy any car they drive within the first year. I have seen dozens of cars that need engine rebuilds before 25,000 miles, people who don't even make an attempt to avoid pot holes, Put the wrong oil in their cars because a "friend" recommended it.

Fill a 2017 Mercedes with 25W-60 mineral oil, clean the air filter with 200 psi of compressed air, grab a circuit and splice in driving lights, then complain that MB cars are junk.

I also hear it all the time Richard1. They drive their cars with out oil/coolant/oil changes and then say "Volvo doesn't make a good engine" to which I reply "Volvo does make a good engine but they sell them to idiots".
