Crown kit value

I found a Crown kit that has an assembled transaxle & bell housing, shifter C part, and subframe. The input shaft is pretty rusty looking. What should I offer him on it? I'll make him let me pull the cover off the differential and transmission to make sure they look good.

It's about 3.5 hours away but he offered to bring it to me.

That to me would be that he really wants to get rid of it unless you already talked price.
