Nice comments 2018 Barrett Jackson Scottsdale, 1965 Corvair Corsa Sale, Jan 16.

Nice comments by the on-air talent per Lot #165, a 1965 Red Corsa coupe with 4/carb, no A/C. sold for $25,000 just moments ago. Comments on engineering and design qualities of the LM vs. the EM swing axle were listed.

They also mentioned two museums where Corvairs can be seen; Nader's Museum of Tort and the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum. NO mention of the Corvair Museum in Decatur.

A nice 1964 Ghia sold for $25,500

Reply to Robert C. Not late to the party at all.

I tried a search for the post you spoke of, but I didn't see it and it didn't come up when I searched, because of title used by original author didn't speak of Barrett Jackson, so I posted it for a clearer Search by others.

Not trying to shout over croderique's post at all, so if Matt would like to combine with original post I have no objections.

Since I don't have a twitter account someone might want to tweet to Mike Joy
at @MikeJoy500 and let them know their is a dedicated Corvair Museum. I have heard him say decent things about Corvairs during past Barrett-Jackson Auctions.

Curious question?

Why would an auction house that is trying to get the highest price for the vehicles they are auctioning off say anything negative about any vehicle.

Other than statements related to the overall condition of the vehicle?

Re JimC comments. No offense taken. The title didn't include anything about B-J. Glad you jumped in. Also, thanks for the MikeJoy500 twitter account info. I have tweeted @MikeJoy500 so we will see if it gets thru to him.

I believe the buyer of the K-G is a good friend of mine here in Salem. He also has a really nice 1964 Spyder convertible that he showed at Forest Grove last year.
The star of his collection is The Actual 1929 Graham-Paige that was owned by Pretty Boy Floyd when he was finally caught. Neat backstory to that one.

Same car I bought in 1/68 the night before I went to Viet Nam he second time. Got it back in 8/15. Plan its first public runout come July.
