Finally getting my wife down to Jim's sixty sedan.

If she can see over the dash...I'm buying it. thumbs up

She has not been able to see over a L/M dash yet.

Me in SuperVair and her in the Sixty...adorable.

It is a late in the production year Oakland plant build.

It's a good guy, everything works, all stock, no rust deal.

I would be very interested in the Fisher Body tag info since the OA tags are not that common out here in the Midwest.

I am even more anxious to see "how" late of a build it is.. 07C is the "last" week of production in my tag collection

and the "newest" body numbers I have for 1960 OA sedans are...

569 OA 3952 with no date stamp, so it is an earlier build
769 OA 19078 Build date 07C

From your previous posts, I think this is the car you are looking for.

1. Must be from the Van Nuys plant. Not sure why, but what you have insisted on.

2. Late model convertible.

3. Automatic.

4. Working Air Conditioner.

5. Chrysler Sebring or BMW seats with integral shoulder belts. Installed height as needed.

6. Telescopic wheel.

A '60 has an absolute minimum of creature comforts. A lot of women like the idea of old cars, but in the end they want the ride and comforts of a modern car.

It would be easier to put new seats in a LM than a dual MC in a '60.
AC in a '60 with gas heat would be a real undertaking and then with the 140 cu in engine.

The wife didn't like it so I passed.

The only thing that makes me a good husband.

Might go look at that deluxe Corvan 8 door next.

Horn slots were only on the very first batch of Corvair Sedans made at Willow Run in 1959.
Probably less than 1000 were built with that particular design feature.

The panel with the slots was discontinued before production of the Corvair began, but Chevrolet/Fisher Body decided to use 'em up...

No on the horn slots Nick. If it had horn slots Phil would have made the wife like it.
I have never owned a 60 or even ridden in one but I like this one. (I wonder if my wife would like it...)

If your wife didn't like the 60 , what makes you think she'll even ride in a corvan ?
