I thought it was, but someone trying to sell a Vair on bat said it needed to be painted because the clear coat was damaged by the sun?

All original Corvairs I've see were painted with Magic Mirror single stage lacquer. Was the BAT seller listing it as original unrefinished paint?

Magic Mirror, BTW, is not a DuPont product, it was Rinshed - Mason's lacquer provided to the OEM market.

Rinshed-Mason is now RM-Paint, a division of BASF.
