63 heater delete

I know I've asked this before, either here or on another forum, can't find it, so bear with me. 63 conv. I have removed the complete heater system as it was in poor shape and I won't have much use for it here in sunny Florida. I remember someone asked what I would do for defrosters, I will use a marine bilge blower mated to tubes to the defrost.
My question is do I patch over the large round holes in the engine shrouding? What about the smaller hole on the fan shroud? I have the engine out now for some work. Thanks.

Yes, you want those holes capped. Especially the one on the top right side of shroud.

Buy some Roof Flashing.... Make your own covers...easy to work with!

ONLY the shroud hole is important for engine COOLING.

The 2 4" hoses on front of engine is where you will pick up heat for your defroster.

Look in 61 shop manual for description and operating schematic.

I used cut up aluminum pie tins (free) with hose clamps. Very easy to work with. Had it on for years with no issues since it was only a summer time toy. My heat is now connected once again.

4" Home Depot duct caps slip right over the outlets and held in place with a sheet metal screw!
