Clark's gets $140.00 each for good rebuildable cores returned during the purchase of rebuilt carbs. What were you thinking of paying for a pair plus shipping?

As with anything with old parts there are people who think their stuff is worth 100x more than what it is.I've been in this business for 45 years but corvairs are new to me.To answer you question any prices will be on a private post. Thanks for the answer.Mike

A good place to find cores are our Corvair show swap meets. I go every year to the Homecoming (Michigan), the conventions, as well as the GWFBT. I have also bought "parts cars" to get items. Talking to club members is another good source. Where are you located Sarge?

I just listed a pair up here. 100 bucks shipped for a pair. They need a clean-up and a light rebuild but they came off a running car. My post should be close to yours at the moment...

"So where do they put the engines in these things?"
"They put em where they the rear."

Searching for a complete 95 to rebuild. (changed my mind)
If this is still in my sig, I'm still looking.

I would suggest stating a specific year.

LM carbs changed almost every year.

I wouldn't give much for the 1966 and later carbs due to the problems I've encountered with corrosion in the revised idle circuit, not saying they are all have this problem.

The 1965 carburetors have a simpler idle circuit more tolerant of corrosion. The are in demand and prices are starting to reflect that.
