Thought you would enjoy this one. Check out this mobile car lift they use in Japan to service your car almost anywhere.

Neat! I didn't think you could legally keep a car long enough in Japan for it to need service. grinning smiley

The guy in the lift video did not have any remote in his hand.

Is the lift completely autonomous and finds the car on its own?

I imagine it would be very rough on clutches, if you could even get it moving. Then the trailer better have some very powerful electric brakes, Goldwing 900#, Volvo wagon 4500#. I would not want to be pulling that. I've been a Goldwing pilot for 35 years and I do have some trailering experience, I had a timeout pop up camper I used to tow behind the wing.

I am guessing third person is controlling it.
They also did not show anyone unhooking the lowering cables, or reconnecting them.

Oh, I know! That lift is directed by GPS!grinning smiley
Pretty cool, what ever way it is done!

That looks like it may cost about as much as the van itself!

[dallas.craigslist.org]
54k battery operated "portable" 4 post lift with no connection between the posts. Seems crazy so I want it. It would be nice for the Corvair/Ultravan hauler.

The next transformer movie. I also wonder how much work one would need to do to pay for it. How much can they charge for an oil change? Then again, I bought a 2007 Toyota because I heard they were the best quality. Wrong! It did run fine for 70,000 miles, then everything falls apart. Water pump, timing cover, brake calipers and other smaller items. The water pump and then the timing cover require engine removal to change them. Make me love my Corvair more. I believe they can only keep cars on the road for 50,000 miles. I used to work with parts wholesalers who bought the gutted drivetrains in container loads to sell used in the USA. They send them to us just in time for everything to go to crap. They do keep the steel bodies to make more cars! A hidden subsidy for their auto industry.
