Hi everyone. I am looking to have my 140 engine rebuilt. Does anyone know of any good resources in Massachusetts?

Isn't Tim Cotrofeld near there? Of course you state you are in San Diego, lots of Corvair folks down that way.

Lionel Bernard is right near Shrewsbury! I'm not sure how active he is, but contact the Bay State Club for sure! Great people

Thanks for the leads! I updated my profile. I definitely live in Shrewsbury now. No longer in San Diego.

Corvair Enterprises Northeast doesn't seem to come up much on a Google search. Not listed in CORSA directory. I would talk to the local Corvair club for a reference or maybe somene will follow up here.
I had a fellow wanting to purchase a Craigslist engine from Tucson and have me install it. I asked for an opinion here and local Tucson Corvair guys said to steer clear.
Corvair Enterprises Northeast may be great but I'd certainly ask around first.
A Corvair engine rebuild can be expensive and specialized.
No I'm not trying to drum up business, I've got plenty to do around here.

If there is nothing acceptable locally, The Corvair Ranch in Gettysburg PA is a short 400 or so miles away. That is about a seven or eight hour trip one way but probably worth the effort.cool smiley

If you are willing to venture into Pennsylvania John Sweet (jasvair on here) is a long time Corvair specialist. I know he is excellent as well as very busy.

If that runs half as good as it looks you are in good shape. Always good to see a factory oil filter being used.
