Billet Aluminum Turn Signal Knob 1961-66
Posted by: rlp11 ()

Some one ask me to do a Billet Aluminum Lever Knob. OK here is the proto type. This is for 1961-66 only. It is buffed Aluminum on a buffed Stainless Sreel lever arm. It will not reto fit onto OEM or reproductions levers. The knob is a thread on.

I may turn it more so it flows better into the lever arm without the little step.

That is very nice looking. Would be a quick way to add some bling to the interior!

Roger - What ever happened to the 66 turn signal levers you were going to make?

I sent emails and have gotten no replies.

I like it Roger. Either turn to remove the step or just round the edge of the knob a bit. Might be nice with both ends of the aluminum knob rounded?

Roger,
that looks awesome! If you do produce them, I'd like to buy a couple. Do you have any idea on how much they will cost?

Thanks a lot,

Darrin

These Aluminum knobs can only be used with my levers. I attached the knob to the levers using 8-32 threads and Loctite. I will sell the complete levers with Aluminum knob at the same price as the Black plastic ones. All lever arms are made from Stainless Steel.

Complete 1961-64 Lever - Aluminum or Plastic Knob - $15
Complete 1965-66 Lever - Aluminum or Plastic Knob - $18
Complete 1967 Lever Plastic Knob only - $18
Complete 1968-69 Lever Plastic Knob only - $18

Got the flu and it sucks but I have big soft chair in front of my lathe so I work when I can. This is my interpretation of the 1967-69 directional lever knob.

67 knob on top
Aluminum knob what I will offer for 67-69 years
68-68 knob on bottom

Still no change in the cost. I love working with Aluminum on the lathe.

Beautiful work on those aluminum knobs!

But no way those would work in Phoenix. Leave skin on those in the summer!

I used to have a Hurst T-handle shift knob and I had to leave a rag over it to avoid literally burning my hand.

Yes. The only difference between the early FC and early car is the angle of the hole the lever screws into. The FC steering wheel is flater than the car.
