Where have I seen this one before? 65 imposter?

I know I have seen that big roll bar somewhere before. Looks like a 67 maybe but the ad says it's a 65.

Is that a new VIN tag attached to the car below the driver's door hinge?

Check out the custom tail lights too!

Colorado? Those are not 67 tailights (?), rear grille, deck lid emblem, instrument cluster/glove box, but looks like a 67 dash, seats, and door panels.

Door hinges are hard to change/hide. Certainly was not a 65 all of its life. That is what made me start looking for other things that don't match. The seller might not have any idea it is not original.

I just recall seeing that arched aluminum roll bar with the integrated 3rd brake light in a LM convertible years ago. Can't be many of those around.

For $13,000 you better show pictures of the "Porch" carbs that go with the "Hand Cooked" tires.

Sometimes I wonder if illiteracy is the new normal when it comes to having a clue about what it is one is attempting to sell.

I have said it before and been blasted for it but really, how can anyone that misrepresents or misunderstands what they are selling intentionally or not, expect anyone else to take their ad seriously.

It does not seem to be necessary in the online world of sales - no matter the item.

For a car flipper, it is just an item to make money off of. No need to invest a lot of time acquiring knowledge about the item.

I guess a similar amount of knowledge may be held by some of the buyers, also.

I'm not one that cares much about originality, I like the looks of the car but not the tail lights.

This car is from Loveland Colorado. I bought a seat about six years ago from the guy who built it.

$13,000 may be too much when that 66 turbo vert. just sold at auction for $10,000. To me, and I am not a restorer, it is not pretty at all. Stupid tail lights and what is probably a faux roll bar. I shouldn't be critical, I am sure some of my modifications would see ugly to other. To each their own.

That was a red 65 Monza vert, not the red turbo vert that sold for $11K at Mecum. Corsa turbo vert goes up on the block tomorrow.

Unless you were talking about another auction.

And the "roll bar" looks like an enabler for three-point belts. Interesting solution!

And yes - those tail lights make my tummy hurt...
