O/T-What Early Birds Do With Craigslist

We get in trouble looking at all kinds of odd ball stuff.

We have all wanted one and I am really tempted at $4999.

The GMC Owners Club has a couple meets a year around here.

Every time I see one roll by I say, "Dang that would be cool!!"

The unit is located about forty miles south of my property.

Ya it needs a ton of work...but running and driving for $5K.

I want one too, think it's one of those things I am better off wanting than having.

Was looking for snow plows and I found one. This has got to be one of the coolest old 4x4 I’ve ever seen.

Lots of fun and trouble to be had on CL. Those motorhomes were top line back when they were new. Now? You better have double, or triple, the $5,000 for the repairs it will need. Not as many parts for it as there used to be and expensive.

Would you travel more with it? Would your wife go with you? Mine would drive in it but would stay in a hotel every night. That takes the fun out of "camping".

Yes that would end up being a fifty thousand dollar rig.

But just imagine how bitchen it would be with a disco ball.

I know it's coming...Ultra Vans do absolutely nothing for me.

If you follow the history line of the Ultravan, this is GM's version of the Tiara!

The "Feather-Lite" appears to have had a lot of "Southern Engineering" applied to it. My goodness that is hard on the eyes. THerefore, I want it. smiling smiley

Of course, the KOTCB will have something to say about that - likely something along the lines of "oh, HELL No!"

I remember as a kid the county used a few of them for plows. I think the air port has one still doing the snow removal with a snow blower attached to blow it away instead of having snow banks along the runways. Those are real work horses .

It would be a darn fine adventure to fly in and drive home in that Oshkosh snow-plow. In the dead of winter, of course!

I can't believe any self respecting Corvair person would consider anything but an Ultravan. Lightest class A ever built as far as I know. I've got 4. One is cheating though since it has a 4.3/700R4.

It’s only about 2hrs from me in a modern vehicle. I can not imagine the drive home. I suspect 35mph would be about it.
