It doesn't look really nice but it does look really original. Usually, when a seller loses interest it is after they have thoroughly taken things apart.

No rust holes or cancer but floor has been patched? Must have run over something and poked a hole in the floor.

It has no rust holes our cancer. Torn holes are the only other damage I've ever seen in a floor. I guess he might have spilled acid or cut holes in the floor and then decided he didn't like them.

Can't we all just play nice?

Guys REALLY now!
We are less than a week out from Christmas and 3/4 of the threads have a bunch of bickering going on!
What is wrong with this world?

Anyway,

Tim, I did not say it was "NICE", I just said it was decent.
no major problem areas that stood out like a sore thumb.

Joel, maybe he meant that since the floors have been fixed, there are no other rust spots remaining to be repaired.

Good grief! I almost wish I had not shared it!

Caveat; It appears as though the patina/paint is not entirely original.

but that car has possibilities for someone. Looks a lot like the FCs that have been brought home on the upper west coast.

I wonder what its true color was?

Green trunk interior. Canadian or repaint.

To American Mel, I am sorry (I am not) but I do not see negativity or a bunch of bickering on this thread. I see a bunch of stated facts. I know you said it was decent. I said it was not really nice but looked really original (that is a + in my book). And my experiences with sellers losing interest is AFTER they have thoroughly taken things apart. THAT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE AN ISSUE HERE. If someone was looking for a 1960 Corvair 700 coupe and transportation costs were not too high this could be a good candidate.

Car looks pretty good BUT...when a floor repair is mentioned with no detail or pictures, I'd want to make sure it isn't a bigger problem than stated.

Details about rust repair can be very vague, so you'd want to have someone local look at it first.thumbs up
