The pedal to pivot should work. From there on you may need the 68 throttle rod and the kickdown linkage. Not sure. Give it a try and let us know. Key is to start the engine without any linkage hooked up and make sure it idles. Shut it down and lock cross shaft so it doesn't move. Then try to mate rod between cross shaft and pivot. If it fit with adjustment, you are good. If not, you need a different rod. Simplest way I know to find out.

The throttle shaft from the '68 will be fine in your '65. I believe the '68 throttle shaft will hit the suspension on an early.

Guys, unless you KNOW the answer please don't speculate. Coulda, Shoulda, woulda is only confusing to someone trying to get an answer.

There are two ways to go, get the hardware as I mentioned for the yokes you have or change out the yokes as was mentioned, your choice! The 68 auto trans does have a different LOOKING bell crank but functions the same with the same trans to carb rod. It takes the same shift cable and trans cross member.

I think all or at least some of this just might be covered in the parts manual, yes I said parts manual.

Nothing new there Ken.

Research does show the

Ken/ Wagon Master:

He is keeping 68 yokes he said and will get the 5/16 straps and bolts. Now he knows his 65 throttle rod to the engine will work. I just didn't have the time today with all the other fires I had to double check the parts manual.
