A musician friend of mine jokes that you can always tell "The Rolling Stones" tour bus as it's the one in the left hand lane, doing all of 50 mph, with it's left turn signal on all the time.

Not that it will help Vairs, but the turn signal in my Sorento is very easy for me to here. It almost seems like its coming through the speakers or is generated by the computer, along with all the other warning devices. It is a little lower frequency and just a little louder than a loud flasher, also a slightly more pleasant sound.In the other cars, my wife is constantly reminding me that they are still on. This is kind of funny because she wouldn't hear the whine of rear or tranny even if it was about to explode.

A piezo across the flasher as shown above is a good idea. I have installed one to remind me the my lights are on when the ignition is off.
