Can any of you identify this turbo carb adapter?

This was attached to a turbocharger I recently picked up. The obvious assumption would be that it's for adapting to a different carburetor or throttle body... Do any of you know what it might be for?

Alis Chalmers tractors used the 300 series turbos (about 60,000 of them) and used a remote carb connected by a hose.

Just a little clarification, the turbocharger is a completely stock 64 corvair turbocharger. This custom machined adapter was bolted
Onto it.

Depending om the bore size, It could be an adapter for a Motorcycle Carb?

I personally am thinking of doing just that, with a pair of Audi turbo's & Harley Davidson 44mm CV Carb's.
Got the Idea from The Suzuki 4x4 guys, They are using a single Audi turbo & H-D carb for their 1.9L engines.

It does not look like a carb adapter. I have seen diesel engines with remote throttle body assemblies on the discharge side. That adapter looks like an inlet bell to attach a filter
