big fan to aid in the overheating issue caused by no perimeter seals? Not a terrible looking car, but definitely needs some tlc.

Looks like their "cooling fan" is restricting air to their cooling fan.

You've got it all wrong. The extra fan is to keep the mechanic cool while he works on the hot engine.

Isn't anyone going to mention the e-fuel pump in the engine compartment along with rubber hoses?

I'm sure that fan is setup with a thermostat to run after you turn off the engine to keep the carbs from getting too hot and causing hot restart issues. It's probably well scienced out to keep cylinder wear to a minimum due to hot soak flooding.

Well taken engine..... NOT. Poor wiring repairs, missing vent tube clamp, missing air cleaner crossover tube, among other things that can be named.

At least the rubber fuel line is not near the belt throwing area.

It is always nice to show how straight a body is by leaving a door on half latch to break up the look.... sad smiley

Fawn seats, saddle door panels and the insides of the doors are painted body color (not same as panels) which is a common repaint mistake.

Looks like a bunch of used parts from other Corvairs thrown together.

The goofy fan on the decklid screams "worn out engine" to me.

I suppose considering what resale values are I should get used to sloppily restored Corvairs but they are always tough to look at anyhow.
