() Date: December 16, 2017 09:32AM My alternator (outer casing) becomes very hot and stays hot to the touch for awhile after running the car. My electrical system (new engine harness, correct NOS Delco Volt regulator, stock alternator) works fine with no issues. Just wondering if this is the nature of the beast or if there is something I should be concerned about. I plan on making the long ride to the 18 convention in July and want to prevent any issues.
