Definitely a cool meet! Lots of swapping smileys with beer. All new to me. Great meeting fellow local Corvair enthusiasts. Very nice bunch, Well maybe Phil might be questionable. Just kidding Phil. At least Phil showed up in his Super Vair.... Only Corvair there.

So, I finally make it there (noon sad smiley) from the Monterrey Bay - my stay was all of a half hour. When I arrived and went inside the Carl's Jr., Phil, Mike (and his cousin?), Dave and one other person were sitting and chatting and once introduced, I was told the gathering had already dissipated. A little bummed, but those present availed themselves of a few EM goodies I brought and then, poof, all parties got into their rides and rode off. Always fun/interesting being able to put a face to some of the names I've become familiar with, on Forum. I think my dog enjoyed the trip more than I did, 'cause he got lots of time with his face out the window. ggg Hope all of the little tid-bits people purchased serve them well. Oh, I still have a bunch of EM parts available, cheap. PM me w/ requests.

Vince,
It was good to meet you, and your wonderful companion. Sorry it was all but over when you showed up, but glad you made a little cash and made a little room in your garage. Glad you made it.

Mike

A good time was had by all. I had trouble with my car, so there was only one Corvair...BUT WHAT A CORVAIR SHE WAS!!!

Glad to meet more Corvair enthusiasts, and swap parts and talk about our awesome vehicles.

Nice time seeing everyone. Phil's Super Vair is quite amazing!thumbs up
Bought a couple things and sold a few things.
Made for a 380 mile round trip for me, but I'm not complaining. Would have liked t brought the Greenbrier, but the simi-electric cruised just fine at 80 mph.... and most people were still passing me on the I5! Imagine me in the Brier chugging along at 65!!!eye popping smiley

Looking forward to the next one.smileys with beer

I showed up at 12:00 noon on Sat. and there wasn't a Corvair in site. What happened was I to late?

Water Boy,
Yes..
we started at 10:00a, and it was a cold day...so we had lunch at noon, and everyone was ready to split. Sorry we missed you.

I haven't eaten at a Carl's Jr. in years, but the one's I've seen usually have big signs on the building. That red barn looks like you met somewhere else.

Water boy - I feel for ya. I actually recall showing right at noon and went inside to find four or five of the guys involved. We immediately went out to my SUV and did a little swapping and that was that. If you were any later, then you definitely missed it. Personal note: Never show up late to a Corvair owner's meeting. Like Dave, I had a long haul from the Monterrey Bay, but have only my uncooperative body to blame. Glad to have met a few of the names on this Forum, so now I have a face in mind when reading posts. Be well, Water boy. Sorry we missed ya.
