Steve I did Rev it up to maybe 1500 rpm or so, several times but it didn't change!

I ran out of time yesterday so I may try it again before I try anything else.

I was afraid to rev it too much with the lifters banging around. Since it has pretty much stopped that, and I cleaned the connections good, I will give it another attempt.

Mike I have done that already. Did that before I put it back on the car, after cleaning it up and painting.

It was working fine and charging when it was on the old engine and I didn't touch the generator before putting it back on the new engine. But if nothing seems to work I will check it again. I guess something could have happened while it has been sitting, waiting to be reinstalled.

But I remember yesterday that while holding the relay in on the battery, with a vom, that it started charging. While i held the relay in.

Thanks Frank, also!

I have just started checking this out, so I still have a lot to do, and try. Was just trying the easy stuff first.

Want to thank everyone for the advice and help!

As was expected, the newer voltage regulator was my issue. Replaced it with the old one, which I knew worked, and all is good. The light is out and the lifters are now silent! Yehaw!

Tomorrow I hope to take it out for its maiden voyage with the new engine, transmission, and differential.

My only concern was the differential was unknown if it was good or not. It was looked at but not taken apart. And I noticed a couple of issues with the pg transmission, which I hope I corrected. It goes in forward and reverse but will not know if it shifts, until I drive it.

Weather is supposed to be 50 degrees and no rain, but a cold front is moving in, so I want to answer this question on this. If I have an issue I still have all winter to fix it.

Thanks for trying to help with all the questions or concerns.

Thanks Steve, hopefully I have a smile and not a frown! But I think other than touching up the adjustment on my rear brakes and finalizing the adjustment on my emergency brake, it should be good to go!

Hopefully I'll know tomorrow for sure!

Thanks

Mel I can't remember the brand of the regulator right now, but I'll send you a pic. I'm sure they could sell a bunch of them if it did that, for sure!

Made in Taiwan, maybe! Haha!
