Re: Anyone want to autocross this year in Pigeon Forge?

The Pigeon Forge is two days so it's actually $45 per day, no option for one day though. My Buddy went last year, he said they have paid course workers so driver aren't taking turns and he says it's quick, they roll the cars through so he got lots of runs. I agree, does run the cost up, most any of them I'll have to stay over at least one night.

True, if you really get that much seat time than it's probably more worth it than the other events. Didn't think about it that way. thumbs up

I looked at one of last years events, the lap times were about 60 seconds, most cars did 8-10 runs but I saw where one guy had 35 times on Saturday, I don't know if my car can do that many.
As for the question of Vairs being welcome, most are muscle cars, old and new and a few trucks but there was a VW Golf, if VWs can run then I'm sure Vairs can.

Autocross Guys answer to "Can we run Corvairs?"

We are all about having fun, doesn't matter if you are fast or slow as long as you are smiling and having a good time!! We welcome all kinds of vehicles and levels of drivers. There are certain event venues we tie into that have a year range. Hope to see you at an event!

I'm leaning towards trying to go in May 12-13th. The March event is the same weekend as the Run to the Sun show in Myrtle Beach that I'm wanting to attend and August is way too hot to have fun without water being involved.

Clemson Schedule was posted.

January 27
February 17
March 11
April 14

Assuming the location is the same, they'll be in the Clemson C-1 parking lot.
